Lincoln Southwest junior pitcher Brayden Young has accepted a baseball scholarship from Nebraska.
Young also plays shortstop for the Silver Hawks and for the American Legion Lincoln Pinnacle Bank squad.
He batted .321 this past spring and pitched Southwest to five wins as the team made its second appearance at the state tournament. He also was among the Class A leaders in ERA at 2.74.
During the summer Legion season, Young helped Pinnacle Bank reach the division semifinals of the state tournament.
