LINCOLN — Class B state golf championships will be played on new courses in the next three years as the Nebraska School Activities Association determined the winning bids at its Friday meeting.
The girls tournament in Class B shifts from Grand Island to Lincoln, which loses the Class B boys tournament to Grand Island.
Class A will return to Norfolk for the girls tournament and to Lincoln for the boys tournament. Quail Run in Columbus keeps Class C girls, with Lincoln getting Class C boys and Kearney given Class D boys.
The board also approved Sidney's request to move up in all sports to Class B, which is the Red Raiders' football classification for the next two seasons.
