A 5-year-old boy retrieving a ball from the street suffered multiple injuries Saturday when he was struck by a car.
Isaiah Hascall broke a leg, rib and his collarbone in the accident, said Omaha police Sgt. Jason Menning. His injuries are not life-threatening.
The accident at 64th and Maple Streets was reported at 12:16 p.m.
Isaiah crossed Maple Street to get his ball. He then walked between two parked vehicles and was hit by a northbound Ford Focus, Menning said.
The boy was taken to Creighton University Medical Center.
Menning said speed was not a factor in the accident. The 25-year-old driver of the Focus was not ticketed.
