A 37-year-old Omaha man was injured early Wednesday in a single-car accident in midtown.
Police said the man's 1964 Ford E150 van was southbound on Saddle Creek Road near Leavenworth Street about 2 a.m. when it left the road and struck a metal light pole on the southwest corner of the intersection.
Donald G. Siegel was taken to the Nebraska Medical Center in critical condition, but police said his injuries were not believed to be life-threatening. Police ticketed Siegel on suspicion of driving under the influence and reckless driving.
In another early-morning crash, one person was critically injured in a single-vehicle accident on Iowa's Interstate 29 just north of Council Bluffs.
Officials said the motorist was taken to the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha in critical condition following the 3:45 a.m. crash.
