The death of a sheriff's deputy is an apparent suicide, the Nebraska State Patrol said.
Kevin Einspahr, 56, died Friday morning of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, said Deb Collins, a spokeswoman for the State Patrol.
Einspahr, of Alma, Neb., was chief deputy sheriff in Harlan County. He was with the Sheriff's Office for 20 years. -- Sam Womack
