Lovers of literature the world over mourned the death Tuesday of Maurice Sendak, one of the most-beloved authors and illustrators of children's books.
Sendak, author of the beloved book "Where the Wild Things Are," among others, died at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, Conn., at age 83 from complications of a stroke.
To honor Sendak's life and work, we went out and asked Nebraskans, both kids and adults to ask us what they thought of "Wild Things" and to share their memories of the book.
