GERING, Neb. (AP) — A new policy on random drug testing of some students has been proposed for the Gering school district in western Nebraska.
The school board was scheduled to consider the proposal at its meeting Monday evening.
The proposal would establish random drug tests for junior and senior high school students in extracurricular activities.
The policy is aimed at curtailing drug and alcohol abuse among students.
