LINCOLN (AP) — A Nebraska man has been arrested for allegedly stealing more than 2,700 gallons of jet fuel that authorities say he planned to use for his farm equipment.
Nickolus Borgman, 33, of Denton, is suspected of stealing the fuel worth more than $14,000 from Silverhawk Aviation, where he worked at the front desk.
Lincoln Police Officer Katie Flood said employees told police that they became suspicious about a month ago when Borgman started bringing three large tanks on a flatbed trailer to work and parking them in a hangar.
An audit of the company’s fuel logs turned up red flags. Flood said the theft was captured on surveillance video.
Borgman was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of felony theft.
