AUSTIN GROTH, South Sioux City
The Creighton baseball recruit was a two-time all-stater, making the All-Nebraska first team as a senior with a 6-1 record and 0.93 ERA. In basketball, he was a two-time Class B all-stater who was All-Nebraska second team as a junior and third team as a senior, finishing his career with 1,519 points.
MICHAELA MESTL, Kearney Catholic
The 5-foot-6 junior was Class C-1 all-state in volleyball (297 kills), was an honorable mention all-state in basketball and placed in two individual events (second in the long jump, fifth in the 100 meters) in Class C at the state track and field meet.
