Nebraska’s recruiting big board has undergone a few changes as the Huskers have missed on a few key targets.
Plenty of talent remains, though, and the Huskers might be in shape to start bringing in a few commitments on offense.
Two of NU’s eight 2013 commitments play offense, with tight end Greg Hart and lineman Dan Samuelson committing earlier this spring.
Nebraska’s Summer Big Board: Offense
1. Damion Hobbs: Nebraska’s quarterback board continues to undergo changes. Tim Beck has identified Hobbs as someone of interest.
The 6-foot-3 athlete from just outside the Dallas area looks to be more than capable of running the zone-read offense and is a strong decision-maker, given how little he turns the ball over. However, Hobbs — unlike several other quarterbacks Nebraska has considered — is a run-first player. He can throw, has shown decently well at the Dallas Elite 11 competition, but he still has a lot of refining left in his mechanics.
