Wildcats' Phillips gets Ohio offer

Millard West junior Harrison Phillips received an offer from Ohio University Wednesday.

The defensive end prospect said by text that the offer came from Ohio defensive coordinator and former Nebraska grad assistant Jimmy Burrow. Phillips, who said he measures just shy of 6-foot-4 and weighs 247 pounds, added Ohio to offers he already holds from South Dakota State and North Dakota.

At last weekend's state wrestling tournament, Phillips won his second-straight state title with his victory in the Class A heavyweight championship match. He and the Wildcats will take part in the first Nebraska dual championship tournament this weekend in Kearney.

As a junior Phillips finished with 43 solo and 47 assisted tackles, as well as 11.5 sacks and four pass breakups.
